Job Title: Medical Science Liaison
Department: Medical Affairs (Sales & Marketing)
Reports To: VP Global Medical Affairs

JOB PURPOSE:

The Medical Science Liaison is a customer-facing position and a critical member of both the PreludeDx commercial & clinical teams. You will be responsible for delivering key messages, presenting complex data, providing on-site customer service and education, providing critical feedback as well as addressing customer challenges to maximize adoption in key accounts. You will build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of your customers and support our commercialization efforts.

You will be the clinical face of DCISionRT, the only test available that is both predictive and prognostic regarding recurrence and radiation benefit for patients diagnosed with DCIS.

Ideally, you will have extensive experience communicating complex information in breast cancer, both in the Invasive and DCIS disciplines, and will have pharmaceutical or molecular diagnostic industry experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Account Development

  • Build, manage, and maintain relationships with key accounts within our customer base
  • Be an ambassador for the brand; demonstrate in-depth knowledge of PreludeDx, its vision, and our products
  • Educate and inform clinicians and other decision-makers through the presentation of complex scientific ideas relevant to the intersection between the fields of oncology and genomics
  • Establish a linkage between PreludeDx technologies and existing challenges in the clinic
  • Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, researchers, and healthcare professionals in breast cancer to ensure communication of current and emerging scientific information resulting in the appropriate use of the product
  • Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and R&D teams in the scientific aspects of current and future products
  • Support internal training initiatives
  • Gather market intelligence for new product development and research opportunities
  • Participate in the strategic planning development, and writing of clinical abstracts, manuscripts, and study protocols

Clinical Expertise

  • Provide scientific exchange to Physician Groups, Integrated Health Systems, Strategic Accounts, Academic Medical Centers, payors, commercial managed markets, and related healthcare organizations
  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in the breast cancer & genomics arenas; interpret and effectively communicate relevant topics
  • Provide scientific support during medical conferences, meetings and trade shows
  • Assist in the development and organization of local key opinion leader groups

Internal Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide strategic input as a member of cross-functional teams
  • Impart key customer insights to business partners with proposed business solutions to help guide strategic direction within the assigned region
  • Provide clinical input and training to commercial functions within regulatory guidelines
  • Assist with content development and scientific review of presentations and promotional materials upon request.
  • Analyze data and write abstracts, posters, and presentations for submission and publication

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in breast cancer and/or cancer genomics is preferred, clinical or biotech industry experience also considered

Job Title: Head of Revenue Cycle
Department: Revenue Cycle
Reports To: CFO
Location: Laguna Hills, CA (onsite)
Compensation: $145,000-$190,000 annual base + bonus

Job Summary:

As an experienced Head of Revenue Cycle Management reporting to our CFO, you will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where you will be relied on for your expertise, professionalism, and collaboration.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive Strategic planning to deliver scalable, evolving solution to meet developing demands in Revenue Cycle Management
  • Lead day-to-day revenue cycle operations, overseeing the following teams: authorization, eligibility & benefit verification, billing, A/R, denials management and payment posting.
  • Drive operational excellence and accountability through a metrics driven culture conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Coordinates efforts amongst cross functional teams including operations, finance, and IT to ensure alignment with RCM goals and metrics
  • Develops long-range strategic plans for systems and processes that support a high performing, patient-centered revenue cycle
  • Lead initiatives to resolve problematic trends and resolve difficult account issues as needed
  • Maintain appropriate internal control safeguards over A/R records and collection of cash and monitor compliance standards for providing accurate information on all system billings
  • Understands and stays abreast of payer requirements and changes in the industry and communicates those changes as well as the financial impact to leadership
  • Drive and manage the development of performance metrics, goal setting and support the development of RCM organizational structure, including the selection, direction and ongoing development of teams fostering a positive work environment

Job Title: Medical Biller/Collector
Department: Revenue Cycle
Reports To: Director, Revenue Cycle Management
Location: Laguna Hills, CA (onsite)
Compensation: $28-30/hr
Hours: 8am-5pm M-F

Description

This position will perform collections and medical billing for various regional and national payers, including Federal, State, Third Party (HMO, PPO, IPA, TPA Indemnity) and Patient Billing. Qualified candidates must be able to (1) Review accounts for billing accuracy in order to maximize reimbursement. (2) Persuasive and tenacious follow-up on claims status (3) Appeal, and re-bill or forward claims for recalculation and / or adjudication as necessary. Must possess detailed knowledge of all medical benefit levels and have a thorough understanding of Federal, State, PPO, HMO, and Indemnity Plans structure. Must meet or exceed the standard level of performance on assigned accounts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data entry, correct insurance assignment to patient accounts, insurance eligibility verification. Review/update demographics and patient information for accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate coding systems; CPT, ICD-9 and HCPCS, coverage; LCD/NCD and reimbursement associated with such codes.
  • Processing, validation of payer requests and processed claims via correspondence, remittance advice and EOBs (i.e., identification of payment discrepancies, inappropriate requests)
  • Investigate all denied services to determine the reason for the service denial, appeal, if appropriate. Identify, report root causes associated with denials
  • Timely, effective processing of assigned appeals including development, submission, tracking, reporting and evaluation of appeal outcomes (i.e., next steps, improved outcomes)
  • Maximize utilization of Billing system, tools, and resources to support cash collection activities.
  • Review and work various reports including aging, adjustments and credit balances.
  • Comply with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all billing related matters.
  • Comply with all Safety, Emergency, Hazard, OSHA, HIPAA, Quality Assurance and Administrative Plans, Policies, Guidelines, Protocol, and Standards.
  • Support and maintain department cash and DSO goals

Job Title: QA Manager
Department: Regulatory Affairs & Quality
Reports To: Sr. Director, Regulatory Affairs & Quality

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for monitoring the pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical process of the clinical laboratory services and ensuring compliance with regulatory, state and accreditation requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversees, plans, coordinates, and manages quality assessment programs designed to ensure compliance with established standards of laboratory practice, CLIA, State regulations, CAP, and other laboratory accrediting agencies.
  • Works with the Medical Director to oversee, plan, coordinate, and manage quality assessment programs.
  • Includes the responsibility of directing all quality activities of all pre-examination, examination and post-examination phases in the laboratory.
  • Responsible for managing all phases of Proficiency Testing activities at PreludeDx.
  • Implement and oversee CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions), validations, inspections, document control, regulatory affairs, and problem resolution.
  • Producing and/or overseeing the creation of documentation as it applies to quality assurance and regulatory affairs and manage document retention and control.
  • Implements and maintains the web-based Document Control System at Prelude Dx.
  • Act as the primary interface with external Quality Auditors and Regulatory Agencies during on-site audits, license and permit renewals, and follow-ups
  • Coordinate and provide relevant documentation to Regulatory Agencies to enable timely product/ service registrations
  • Responsible for the application and re-validation of Medicare licenses.
  • Implementation of meaningful QA metrics for pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases of laboratory testing.
  • Responsible for presenting quarterly QMS metrics to management and staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to environmental and safety protocols in compliance with State and Federal regulations

JOB TITLE: Clinical Laboratory Scientist
DEPARTMENT: R&D
REPORTS TO:
CLS Manager
LOCATION: Laguna Hills, CA
COMPENSATION: 45-50/hour

JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled licensed CLS to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in running Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and knowledge of molecular biology techniques.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the equipment is calibrated, maintained, and operated according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Adheres to the CAP, CLIA and NYS regulations.
  • Run protocols for sample collection, processing, storage, and tracking in LIMs to ensure the integrity and traceability of the samples throughout the NGS workflow.
  • Run clinical and R&D samples for NGS and molecular biology techniques, including microdissection, FFPE nucleic acid extraction, NGS library preparation, sequencing, data analysis, and quality control measures with appropriate NGS controls.
  • Perform and train other CLS’s on established NGS and molecular biology procedures, including macrodissection, FFPE nucleic acid extraction, NGS library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis, including quality control measures.
  • Perform validation testing to ensure with selected reagents and controls to ensure the assay meets the required performance specifications.
  • Perform validation studies to assess the performance characteristics of the NGS assay, including sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, precision, and reproducibility.
  • Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical methods and software, including sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, precision and reproducibility.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of experiments and results.

  • Minimum 4 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist
  • California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Highly Preferred: California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist license – CGMBS.)
  • Must be well-organized, open-minded, decisive, and flexible. They must be able to communicate well with others, and work as a team. Good writing skills and and extensive computer experience are necessary
  • Experience with Macrodissection, RNA extraction and downstream analysis
  • Strong experience in development of targeted library, conducting sequencing NGS library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis
  • Experience in project management and organization
  • Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Validation and SOP writing experience a plus
