JOB TITLE: Genomic Sales Specialist – GSS for TX, NM, OK, LA
DEPARTMENT: SALES
REPORTS TO: VP

JOB SUMMARY

The Genomic Sales Specialist’s primary responsibilities are to develop and successfully execute sales strategies to ensure achievement of unit volume and revenue goals for oncology services by focusing on strategic selling opportunities of PreludeDx products (i.e. DCISionRT, etc.) within an assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify, target, educate and manage accounts in the assigned territory including breast surgeons, radiation oncologists, oncologists, hospitals and pathology groups, on PreludeDx cancer products and services
  • Analyze the designated territory to understand prescribing and purchasing decision processes and any marked differences from national trends
  • Drive new oncology business, maintain customer relationships and exceed sales goals
  • Achieve and exceed sales forecasts and targets
  • Participate in organizing and facilitating meetings for the exchange of medical and product information in line with the company’s policies, regulatory and legal requirements
  • Represent the company at trade shows, attend company meetings, training programs and functions as needed
  • Recognize changes in the work environment, develop and implement alternate plans to achieve objectives, modify call plan/business plans and activities as needed
  • Support company sales strategy and contribute to fostering a team environment
  • Present a positive and professional image, and ensure activities are consistent with and enhance the company’s ethical marketing policies and procedures
  • Travel independently throughout defined territory to drive oncology sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Provide ongoing communication to manager regarding business opportunities and issues
  • Maintain database of customers and targets
  • Present at quarterly sales meetings
  • Work closely with marketing team on territory market trends, competitive threats and new testing opportunities
  • Perform Company business in accordance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures (if violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management)
  • Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards
  • Provide consistent, timely and complete administrative duties and responsibilities.
  • Complete all expense reports and communications effectively and on time
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 + years field sales experience in diagnostics, radiation oncology, oncology, lab services, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other related industry
    • Experience with breast cancer diagnostics, breast surgery and breast radiation oncology preferred
  • History of meeting and exceeding sales targets

  • Ability to travel with overnights and attendance at some weekend programs

JOB TITLE: Full Time – Histology Technician
DEPARTMENT: Anatomic Pathology
SUPERVISOR: Director of Operations
LOCATION: Laguna Hills, CA
HOURS: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
DAYS: M-F or Tues.- Sat.

JOB PURPOSE

Prepares patient histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by the Pathologist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares patient samples, including grossing, tissue processing, tissue sectioning, and staining.
  • Performs immunohistochemical staining of tissue sections using automated immuno-stainers.
  • Performs minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Ensure safety in the histology laboratory.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of sharps containers and biohazardous lab waste
  • Adhere to the CAP, CLIA and NYS regulations.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Adheres to Department-specific safety guidelines.
  • Perform tissue annotations via image analysis software.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of histology experience within an anatomic pathology laboratory. Background in breast cancer diagnostics a plus.
  • Prior Histology and IHC experience required in a clinical laboratory. Prior experience in Imaging platforms is a plus.
  • Preferred ASCP certification as QIHC.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must meet the requirements of CLIA-88 (42 CFR 493.1443).

 EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in, life sciences, or equivalent histology experience.
  • Anatomic or clinical pathology degree is a plus.
