The emergence of the new breast cancer mammographic detection modality of tomosynthesis will be assessed. Recent advances in surgery are discussed by faculty considered to be world leaders in surgical oncology. Topics such as targeted axillary dissection and de-escalation of axillary operations in the primary setting and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy will be highlighted. In addition, immunotherapy is becoming a more central theme as recognition of its role in suppressing tumor growth become more elucidated.
